Customer Problem / Business Objective
A large bank needed Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Fraud, and Cyber Research analysts to be able to access the Internet with protection from browser and Internet-born threats.
The analysts were burdened by the bank’s corporate policy requiring “firewall exemption forms” for analysts trying to look at sites blocked by the bank’s firewall, leading to inefficiencies and increased costs in the investigatory process. The bank was hoping to eliminate these inefficiencies and reduce costs.
Implementation
Due to the large number of analysts the bank was deploying on the system, Conceal enabled user creation for the bank staff via an API.
This enabled them to rapidly stand up a large number (~50) users onto the system. The Conceal Malware Protected Browser Plugin was deployed as part of a “browser build” where it subsequently pushed out to the appropriate analysts’ machines.
